- For smoothie maker: Add ingredients, in order, to a smoothie cup and blend using smoothie setting.
- For blender: Alternatively, add all ingredients to a blender in reverse order and pulse a few times, then blend on high for at least one minute, or until smooth.
- Pour into serving glass, add garnish if desired, and enjoy!

Optional garnish: I finely chopped up grated coconut and mixed with a little blue spirulina powder and also added some sour candy belts cut very thin and curled like a worm for a fun crazy Star Wars food effect like you might find if eating at the Mos Eisley cantina on the planet Tatooine.
Can you freeze something made with blue spirulina powder? After researching, I learned that if you freeze something made with blue spirulina powder, you should consume it while frozen. Once it thaws, the cell walls rupture, causing the pigmentation to break down and the nutrition is not as high. In short, thawing frozen spirulina is not advised. You can make popsicles and enjoy while frozen for a healthy summer treat or snack.
