Chocolate Cherry Overnight Oats Breakfast

Ingredients for chocolate cherry overnight oats

  • 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1 tsp milled flax seeds
  • 1/4 cup dairy-free vanilla flavored yogurt alternative (I like using unsweetened Silk brand)
  • 1 tbsp Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides, chocolate flavor (Feel free to use your favorite protein powder as a substitute)
  • 1 tsp pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen dark sweet cherries

Optional garnish: Dollop of dairy-free yogurt alternative, dark chocolate (grated or chips) and fresh cherry slices.

Equipment needed: Jar with lid or container with tight fitting lid.

How to make overnight oats

Instructions:

Add all ingredients to a mason jar or container with tight fitting lid and you can either place lid on and shake together ingredients or stir together and then put lid on. Place in fridge for at least 2 hours or overnight.

When ready to eat, remove from fridge and dig in or you can transfer to a serving glass or bowl and garnish with a dollop of dairy-free yogurt, chopped or grated dark chocolate and fresh cherry slices.
