Stuffed Dates Cockroach Appetizer
Your Halloween party guests will get a frightful kick out of these creepy crawly, yet delicious Stuffed Dates Cockroach Appetizers. A healthy and tasty treat made with dates, ricotta cheese, orange marmalade and honey. Easy-to-make for a scary addition to your Halloween party spread.
Ingredients
- 13 large whole dates pitted
- 1/4 cup ricotta cheese can also use cream cheese
- 1 tbsp orange marmalade
- honey for drizzle

Instructions
- Cut a slice from one end to the other in 12 of the dates, but don’t cut through to the other side. (You are making a date taco shell)
- Next, cut the last date into several tiny slices, then halve the slices to use for cockroach antennas.
- In a small bowl, mix together ricotta cheese and orange marmalade.
- Fill each date with the cheese mixture and then drizzle with honey.

Love these!! Have made them twice and everyone loves them! Can I make them ahead of time?
Hi Pam! Yes, you can make these delicious appetizers 3-5 days ahead of serving, just keep stored in a frig, in an air tight container and don’t drizzle with honey until ready to place out on party table or serve.
