Beer Can Chicken
This Beer Can Cajun Lemon Chicken is brined, then roasted in the oven for a flavorful and juicy taste experience. I used Slap Ya Mama Hot Cajun Seasoning, so I knew I needed to add a little balance in the flavor, so I decided to use my Nature’s Flavors Organic lemon flavor syrup in the brine and also to mix with the olive oil to rub on before dry seasoning. It's the perfect flavor balance.
Vintage “Cheaper by the Dozen” Spare Ribs
This Vintage Charleston recipe for “Cheaper by the Dozen Spare Ribs” came from my “Charleston Receipts” recipe book I bought last year on one of my many visits to this historic favorite destination. I was inspired to make it for a little step back in time, and it turned out to be a most delicious meal. It uses very basic ingredients and easily and quickly comes together for a tasty family meal “on a budget.”
Crockpot Pork Barbeque
This Crockpot Pork Barbeque is one of the easiest slow-cooker meals you’ll make with a delicious fulfilling result. Made with Guinness stout, onions and spices, it’s also a budget friendly dinner for 4-6 people. You can serve this savory dish with sides like mashed potatoes and green beans or just make simple BBQ sandwiches with slaw and your favorite barbeque or hot sauce. Easy recipe.
Smoked Sausage Jambalaya
With Mardi Gras around the corner, I was inspired to create a homemade Smoked Sausage Jambalaya to bring a little taste of New Orleans to our dinner table. It’s said that the Jambalaya dish origin was created by mixing French and Spanish cuisines together, now considered “American Creole.” Whatever the history, it’s a flavor fest for your tastebuds, a sweet spicy heat and very satisfying and cozy meal. Made using Poppa Earles Cajun Seasoning for an authentic taste of Louisiana.
Chicken Bacon Ranch Quesadillas
With just a few simple ingredients, you can have a fun dinner or even use this recipe for an appetizer. I usually conjure this up with some leftover chicken from the day before or use a precooked rotisserie chicken from the store to make it super simple. Kids love helping with this, so let them make a little mess…it will be ok!
Glazed Ham
This delicious glazed ham recipe can be enjoyed anytime of the year. Our family has always traditionally served ham at Christmas and Easter. The glaze is made from my son’s favorite beverage, Cheerwine!
Juicy Oven Baked Chicken
