Avocado Banana Smoothie

vegan / dairy-free / gluten-free

 

This Avocado Banana Smoothie is such a healthy meal replacement or snack. This smoothie is very creamy with a great balance of being naturally sweetened with the banana and dates, and a delicious slight earthy undertone from the avocado and spinach. I like to add a pinch of cardamom or cinnamon for a little sweet spice. The texture of this avocado banana smoothie is thick and velvety thanks to both the avocado and banana which also add lots of healthy fats and fiber to fuel your day and satisfy for hours. Makes approximately 16 ounces.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk

  • 1/2 large ripe Hass Avocado

  • 1/2 cup spinach leaves

  • 4-5 large dates, pitted

  • 1/2 cup ice

  • pinch of cardamom or cinnamon (optional)

Instructions:

Add all ingredients to a blender or smoothie maker and blend until smooth, about 1-2 minutes. Pour and enjoy immediately.

(I usually pulse a few times before a steady speed.)
