Avocado Banana Smoothie (V, DF, GF)

This healthy avocado banana smoothie has a great balance of being naturally sweetened with the banana and dates, but a delicious earthy undertone from the avocado and spinach. I like to add a pinch of cardamom or cinnamon for a little sweet spice. The texture of this avocado banana smoothie is unbelievably thick and velvety. This would be a great meal replacement smoothie for breakfast or lunch.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 1/2 large ripe hass avocado
  • 1/2 cup spinach leaves
  • 5 large dates pitted
  • 1/2 cup ice
  • pinch of cardamom or cinnamon optional
