The combination of fall feels, autumn flavors and cooler temperatures combined with spooky decorations, spine-tingling scary movies, and dressing up as anything you want gets me super excited and brings me joy to the month of October. I want to share some of my fun and spooky Halloween party ideas with you, whether it’s a large gathering or an intimate celebration, you’ll be sure to impress and enjoy with these delicious, fun and creepy ideas.
Booberry Smoothie
Start your Halloween day off with a healthy and delicious blueberry smoothie aka “Booberry” smoothie. Here is the easy recipe:
1 cup blueberries
1 med banana
1/4 cup yogurt (dairy-free if desired)
1 tbsp creamy peanut butter
1/2 tbsp pure maple syrup
1/2 cup unsweetened almondmilk
3-4 ice cubes
Optional: Garnish with ghost ice cubes made from almond milk frozen in silicone molds.
Pulse a few times, then blend on high for 1 minutes or until smooth and creamy. Enjoy!

You will need:sun-dried flour tortilla roundsolive oil (or vegetable oil)sea saltcookie cutter in desired shape (bat, ghost)sheet panHow to make homemade baked tortilla chips (instructions):Preheat oven to 375℉. Use a cookie cutter to cut out bat shapes (or desired shape.) Lightly brush with the oil and place them on a baking sheet in a single layer (not overlapping.) Bake about 5-7 minutes or until crisp and golden brown. Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle lightly with sea salt.

This Black Magic Cake is a vintage recipe that I converted into a dairy-free recipe. Candy Corn Jell-O Cups
Get some plastic stemware from the dollar tree or use your good stuff to create these fun and festive candy corn colored Jell-o dessert cups topped with whipped cream and cany eye balls.To make Halloween Jell-O cups: Make yellow Jell-O according to package and evenly divide in serving cups, filling about 2 inches full. Chill in fridge for 2 hours, or until set. Mix together orange Jell-O according to packet, let cool and pour layer onto yellow layer, leaving about 2 inches from top. Chill and let set, then add whipped cream on top. Garnish with candy eyes, candy corn and sprinkles. Chill until ready to serve.

Melt chocolate chips according to package instructions and add to a plastic baggie with corner snipped with small opening. What a fun gift idea for a paranormal enthusiast or just for Halloween fun. Using simple and inexpensive items from the dollar store, I created this fun and spooky DIY pet ghost. A small $3 puck light that is activated with remote gives your pet ghost a spooky glow!Keep reading to see how it was made.Supplies to make DIY pet ghost:Plastic dome with removeable bottom ($1.25)LED puck with remote ($3)Small ghost that fits inside dome ($1-2) I actually had a silicone ghost mold and made mine out of soy wax.Wide festive ribbon (optional)Instructions for howto make your own pet ghost:Open plastic domePlace led puck on bottom/basePlace your ghost on top of led puckReplace lid over ghost (Note: My ghost fit tightly and does not move, but if yours is a little smaller, you can add a glue dot to bottom of ghost so it won’t slide around.)Optional: add a small piece of tape to each side at base to keep secure, then add wide ribbon at bottom or any other special touches you want. I added a little purple 3D tube ribbon for a little dimension on the inside.For extra fun if gift giving: Make a death certificate with a fun story about your ghost/spirit and give it a name. You can turn the led puck light on with your remote and start enjoying your new spooky friend.

Make this cute kid ghost for your front porch Halloween decoration on a budget! I made this using a dollar tree pool noodle, kid’s jeans and shoes from the local Goodwill store and a 3 foot white fabric circle with peel-n-stick black felt for the eyes. The new Beetlejuice Beetlejuice movie has been a huge hit and will be a popular costume this Halloween. I challenged myself to create a thrift shop Beetlejuice glam costume and found everything I needed from local thrift shops. Dress was $5, black and white jewelry was $5, green wig was $3 and I already had the shoes!
