There is a particular yard in our neighborhood that my husband and I walk by on our evening strolls that brings out the kid in me. It has little fairy doors and signs that say listen for “listen for fairy giggles” along with whimsical statues and rocks. I remember when I was a young kid, playing with my cousins outdoors amongst the trees and nature and looking under large mushrooms for Smurfs. Needless to say, inspiration struck and the kid in me created this fun Fairy Smoothie. It has all the magical tastes that a fairy would love: blueberries, pink dragon fruit, bananas, with a hint of floral lavender, of course. Fairies love flowers, so it’s their favorite ingredient to use in food, didn’t you know? 🧚‍♀️

The lavender flavor is easily added with a touch of Nature’s Flavors Organic Lavender Flavor Extract. It blends beautifully together with all the fruits for a whimsical smoothie to enjoy on a hot summer day while listening to fairy giggles. Garnish with fresh fruit and banana slices cut into flower shapes for extra fun. Makes 16 ounces.

If you want to add a little fairy flavor to your smoothie, head over to Nature’s Flavors for some Organic Lavender Flavor Extract.

Let’s begin!

Ingredients:

Note: A fun optional ingredient would be a little edible glitter for a sparkly and magical touch.

Instructions:

How to make a fairy smoothie:

Add ingredients, in order, to a smoothie cup and blend using smoothie setting.

Alternatively, add all ingredients to a blender in reverse order and pulse a few times, then blend on high for at least one minute, or until smooth.

Pour smoothie into a serving glass fit for a fairy, and garnish with fresh or frozen fruit. It’s such a gorgeous color and amazing flavor, you’ll want to eat like a fairy all of the time!

If serving at a fairy party, another fun idea would be to add a little edible fairy glitter for a sparkly smoothie for some extra magical fun.

On your next walk, if you spot a fairy door or fairy garden, listen closely for fluttering wings and fairy giggles!

Enjoy!
