Maple Roasted Carrots
Take your carrots to a whole other level with this recipe for Maple Roasted Carrots. Transform this crunchy, orange veggie into a succulent, soft and sweet accompaniment to a savory main dish, such as ham. With a minimal amount of common ingredients, you will find it’s the perfect way to create this simple but delicious side.
Let’s begin:
Ingredients:
2 pounds carrots (roughly)
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/4 brown sugar (light brown sugar will give your carrots a brighter color with slightly sweet taste, and dark brown sugar will give a more darker glaze, with a richer flavor-the choice is yours!)
1 tsp salt
3 tbsp butter, cubed (I used a plant based, olive oil butter)
Optional Garnish:
sliced almonds (raw or candied)
Chopped parsley
