  • Add all ingredients to a large bowl, except broth.
  • Stir and combine well to make a thick, crumbly dough.
  • Add broth, one tablespoon at a time, till the correct consistency of dough is achieved.

  • While dough is chilling, prepare a clean surface by lightly flouring and also flour your rolling pin and shape cutters.
  • Roll out dough to 1/4 inch thick and use cutter to cut out shapes.
  • Place shapes on parchment lined baking sheet about 1/2 inch or less apart. (They will not spread much.)
  • Bake at 325℉ / 162℃ Baking times: For small size, 20-25 minutes. For medium size, bake 25-30 minutes. For large size, bake 30-35 minutes.
  • Remove from oven, let cool on pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack or wax paper to cool completely.
  • Discard parchment paper, then return treats back to baking sheet and place in oven for at least 4-5 hours to completely dry out. This process will extend the shelf life. Store in an airtight container for 2-3 weeks.
