Homemade Pooch Pops recipe

I was inspired to create a frozen treat for our beloved pets out there to keep them satisfied and cool during the hot weather. These two-ingredient Pooch Pops are very easy to make and quite delicious for humans as well (minus the optional dog treat!)
Prep Time 5 minutes
Total Time 3 hours 5 minutes
Servings 6

Ingredients

  • 2 4oz jars Beech Nut organic sweet potato baby food (or 1 cup baked sweet potatoes, pureed)
  • 1/4 cup Organic natural creamy peanut butter with no added sugars-only peanuts and sea salt as the ingredients
  • Optional: Milk Bone Dipped Peanut Butter Dog Treats
  • Equipment needed: Mini muffin mold silicone works great. NOTE: If you are not using silicone, it is recommended to use dog treats for an easier release from tray.

Instructions

  • Mix together sweet potato puree/baby food and peanut butter with hand mixer, blender or smoothie cup for one minute on high or until thoroughly incorporated.
  • Fill muffin cups up till about 1/4-inch from top (they will expand some during freezing process and also if you want to add optional dog treat in center the extra space will allow for that.)
  • Mixture should be thick enough to go ahead and add the dog treat in center at this time, if you desire.
  • Freeze for 3-4 hours or until set, then unmold when ready to serve.
