The inspiration for this dairy-free and vegan eggnog smoothie was to find a more wholesome way to enjoy this holiday favorite, without all the added sugar and extra calories that a true eggnog brings. Try this delicious Christmas smoothie idea with a creamy texture and all the flavors of eggnog.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 small frozen banana sliced
  • 1 cup frozen cauliflower
  • 2 large pitted dates
  • 1 tbsp pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 heaping tsp of Nature’s Flavors Organic Bourbon Flavor Powder or 1/4 tsp rum extract
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup canned coconut milk (not the lite)
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 4-5 large ice cubes

Instructions
 

  • Add all ingredients to a smoothie cup or blender
  • Use smoothie setting, or pulse a few times, then blend on high for one minute or until smooth and creamy.
  • Pour into serving glasses and sprinkle with a dusting of nutmeg, if desired or add a cinnamon stick for garnish.
