Calling all nature lovers! This Mint Tea recipe uses fresh mint, basil and honey to create a refreshing and naturally flavored tea, perfect for summertime sipping on the porch.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups fresh mint roughly chopped
  • 4 tbsp honey
  • 6 cups water
  • Fresh basil a few sprigs (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Rinse mint off under cold water and set aside.
  • Add water and honey to a 2-3 quart sauce pot.
  • Bring to boil, stir and remove from heat.
  • Add fresh mint and basil (if using) and let steep for 15-20 minutes.
  • After steeping is done, strain or remove colander pot. Then taste and add more honey to liking.
  • Transfer to a pitcher, add ice and store in fridge.
  • Serve over ice, garnish with fresh mint, if desired.
