Instructions

  • Butter the bottom of a 13x9 inch baking pan. Separate roll tops from bottoms using a long serrated knife. Set tops aside for now. Place bottom halves in prepared baking dish, cut side up.
  • Layer rolls with ham, gently folding as you go, until all the rolls are covered. Next, layer with provolone cheese slices, overlapping, until covering all the ham. Place roll tops on cheese.
  • To make the everything bagel sauce: Add remaining ingredients to a small sauce pot and cook, while stirring over medium heat for 3-4 minutes.
  • Remove sauce from heat and spoon (or carefully pour) over top of rolls, covering as evenly as possible.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, but up to 24 hours.
  • Remove from fridge about 15-30 minutes before you want to bake and preheat oven to 350℉ /176℃. Cover loosely with foil, then place in center of oven and bake for 23 minutes, then remove foil and continue baking, uncovered, 5-8 minutes longer. Slice with a wide spatula and serve hot or warm.
