Easy 3 ingredient dinner idea

I have an easy and delicious 3 ingredient dinner idea for you: crockpot country style BBQ pork ribs. These succulent ribs are slow-cooked to perfection, making them fall-off-the-bone tender and bursting with flavor. With just three simple ingredients, you can have a mouth-watering meal that will impress your loved ones. Serves a family of 4-5. (Four adults comfortably)

Maybe your kids are getting ready to start back school and hectic nights are starting back or perhaps you just need an easy dinner idea that will satisfy your entire family and easy on the budget?

Whatever the reason, these tender, juicy and delicious ribs are the answer! Give your oven a break, these ribs are easily made in your slow cooker. Throw everything in before work or taking the kids to school and by afternoon, you will come home to a house that smells heavenly and dinner is done!

Let’s begin!

Ingredients for crockpot pork ribs

  • 4-5 lbs. country style pork ribs

  • medium sweet onion, sliced

  • 19 oz barbeque sauce (your favorite variety)

  • 1/2 tsp each salt and pepper (or to taste-optional)

Note: You do not need any extra liquid in the crockpot. They are cooked at low heat so they will not burn, and the rib meat releases juices as it cooks which allows it to braise in its own liquid.

How to make crockpot pork ribs

Instructions:

Salt and pepper ribs and place in bottom of crockpot. Add onion slices on top.

.

Next, pour all of the bbq sauce on top of ribs and onions evenly. Set crockpot (slow cooker) to cook on low for 6-8 hours.

Note: You can reserve some of the barbeque sauce and after ribs are done cooking in Crockpot, you can transfer to a baking sheet, baste with remaining sauce and broil on high for 5-7 minutes to create “that cooked on the grill” char is desired.

To make this dinner even easier, open a can or pork beans and corn and there you go! Dinner is done!! There are just some nights you may be exhausted and don’t need to slave in the kitchen…you need to spend more time relaxing before the next day starts all over.

This is also a good summer recipe idea if you don’t want to turn on your oven on a blistering hot day and maybe you have some fresh corn from the garden to eat as a side with these ribs.

Enjoy!
