Pair your favorite bourbon with a few other ingredients for an easy recipe and garnish with an orange peel or make my jack-o-lantern orange garnish for Halloween fun!

I used Nature’s Flavors pumpkin spice flavor syrup instead of making a simple syrup to save time and give it a delicious pumpkin spice flavor. Click HERE to find the Nature’s Flavors Organic Pumpkin Spice Flavor Syrup

Let’s begin!

Ingredients:

Garnish: orange peel (cut like a jack-o-lantern or wide slivered) or cinnamon stick.

Instructions:

To an old fashioned glass, add pumpkin spice flavor syrup, orange wedge and bitters and muddle.

Next, add bourbon, water and ice sphere and stir with cinnamon stick or stir stick and garnish with orange peel.

How to make jack-o-lantern orange garnish

When picking out an orange, go for the most round and small one. (I actually used a small mandarin orange.) With a sharpie or marker, draw a jack-o-lantern face and carefully use a sharp knife to cut out face.

Turn orange to back and cut out a large wedge in the back (you can use that to make the drink, peel removed) and dig out pulp and save for later to eat or use in a smoothie or drink. Use a toothpick to clean out cut openings. You can make these orange jack-o-lanterns ahead of time and store in a sealed container in fridge up to 3 days. (I tested and it lasted for 5, but just to be safe only use up to 3 days.)

What a deliciously spooky sip for Halloween or fall, enjoy!

Enjoy!
